How does Dynadot Prepay / Account Credit work?

Account credit can come from prepays and order refunds. Any Dynadot customer can prepay money into their account. This account credit can be used towards any purchase at Dynadot and never expires!

What can I use Dynadot Account Credit for?

You can use Account Credit to pay for purchases across Dynadot, but you can’t use Account Credit to add more Account Credit.

Why should I use Prepay instead of paying at the time of order?

Prepay can reduce payment delays because you’re paying from an existing balance instead of waiting for certain payment methods to clear. This helps with time-sensitive actions like registrations and renewals where processing time matters. Some payment methods (e.g. credit/debit card, PayPal, Skrill, or Alipay delays) can take days to clear before an order is fully processed.

What is the minimum amount required to prepay?

The minimum prepay amount is $5 USD (or the equivalent in other currencies).

How do I check my current account credit balance?

Your Account Credit balance appears on your account Summary page next to the $ icon at the top.

What payment methods can I use when adding Prepay to my Dynadot account?

You can use the same payment methods available for other Dynadot purchases, except paying with Account Credit (since it’s the balance you’re adding to). The supported payment methods are listed on Dynadot’s Payment Options page.
